A genuinely different puzzle, so a genuinely different tool

Word Stacks isn't a letter-bag game like our Word Cookies Solver or Word Chums Solver. It shares a developer, PeopleFun, with Word Chums specifically, but not with Word Cookies, which comes from a different studio entirely. The shared mechanic between those two is a coincidence of genre, not shared code. Word Stacks itself is closer to a word search: you're given a full grid of letters, and the words you need are already sitting inside it as straight lines, waiting to be found rather than freely assembled. PeopleFun's own description calls it "Word Search with a twist."

That's a different computational problem from everything else on this page's sibling tools, so this page runs on its own dedicated grid-scanning logic: every row and column, read forwards and backwards, checked against the same 30,586-word dictionary used across this site. Diagonals are deliberately excluded, since the real game doesn't allow them either.

A practical tip specific to this format: Word Stacks levels give you a theme and a clue at the top of the screen. Search this tool's results for words matching that theme first. A full grid can surface far more technically-valid words than the puzzle actually wants, and the clue is your fastest filter down to the real answers.

How it works

1
Type your grid, row by row.

One line per row, exactly matching what your puzzle shows.

2
Scan results against your level's theme.

The clue at the top of your screen narrows a full result list down to the words your level actually wants.

3
Swipe the matching line in-game.

Once you've spotted the word, swipe it in the real puzzle to clear it.

Common questions

How is this different from your other "cheat" style tools?

Genuinely different, not just relabeled. Games like Word Cookies or Word Chums give you a small bag of letters to freely recombine into any word. Word Stacks gives you a full grid instead, and words must appear as an actual straight line within it, so this page runs real grid-search logic rather than the rack-matching engine those other tools share.

Does this check diagonal words too, like Boggle?

No, and that's intentional, matching the real game. Word Stacks only allows straight horizontal or vertical lines, forwards or backwards. Unlike Boggle, there's no zig-zagging or diagonal movement, so this tool doesn't check those directions either. Checking them would surface words you couldn't actually select in the real puzzle.

Why didn't this find a word I can see in my puzzle?

Double-check that each row you typed exactly matches what's on screen, including letter order. A single typo shifts every line this tool scans. Also confirm the word isn't diagonal, since only straight horizontal and vertical lines are checked, matching the actual game rule.

Can I type a grid that isn't a perfect rectangle?

Yes. Some levels have irregular shapes or rows of different lengths, and this tool handles that correctly. Just type each row exactly as it appears, even if row lengths differ.

What's the minimum word length this tool checks?

Three letters, matching Word Stacks' own minimum. Shorter fragments that happen to sit in a line aren't checked, since the game itself doesn't count them either.
