Why this tool sorts by length, not points
Word Chums is a tile-rack game in the same family as Scrabble and Words with Friends, similar enough that our Word Cookies Solver shares the identical underlying matching logic. But unlike those two games, Word Chums' own point-value table isn't something we could fully verify from an official source, and third-party scoring tables are easy to get subtly wrong on one or two letters without solid verification, exactly the kind of small error that could actually mislead you mid-game.
So this tool does the part we can guarantee is correct: showing you every real word your exact letters can form, sorted longest to shortest. For actual point totals in a live game, check the score badge the app itself shows you as you place tiles.
A verified strategic tip we can stand behind: Word Chums rewards emptying your rack more aggressively than Scrabble does. Instead of Scrabble's flat 50-point bonus for playing all 7 tiles, Word Chums scales the bonus with how many letters you play in one turn: +10 for 5 letters, +20 for 6, and +40 for the full 7. That gap is worth playing for even when a shorter word would technically use higher-value letters.
How it works
Type the letters currently on your Word Chums tile rack, in any order.
Longer words appear first, since they're generally the strongest plays and the ones eligible for the all-letters bonus.
Once you've picked a word, place it to see its exact Word Chums point value before committing your turn.
Common questions
Why does this tool show word length instead of Word Chums points?
Word Chums uses its own scoring table, genuinely different from both Scrabble and Words with Friends, and we haven't been able to verify a complete, accurate letter-by-letter point list for it from an official source. Rather than guess and risk showing you wrong numbers, we sort by length only, which stays completely accurate regardless of scoring.
Is Word Chums scored the same as Scrabble or Words with Friends?
No. Word Chums explicitly uses a third, distinct point table. One confirmed example: J is worth 10 points in Word Chums, matching Words with Friends' value but not Scrabble's 8. That single overlap doesn't mean the rest of the table matches either game, which is exactly why we don't display point values we can't fully verify.
How is the all-letters bonus different from Scrabble?
Scrabble gives a single flat 50-point bonus for using all 7 tiles in one turn. Word Chums scales it instead: +10 for playing 5 letters, +20 for 6, and +40 for playing all 7. That makes emptying your full rack worth chasing even more aggressively than in Scrabble.
How many tiles are in the Word Chums bag?
120 tiles total, more than Scrabble's 100 or Words with Friends' 104. E is the most common letter at 12 tiles, followed by I at 11 and A and O at 10 each, broadly similar to real English letter frequency, the same principle every tile-based word game is built on.
Does letter order matter when I enter my rack?
No. Enter your letters in any order. The solver checks which letters and how many of each you hold, not the sequence, matching how you'd actually rearrange tiles on your rack.
Is this the same as a Word Chums cheat or answers tool?
Yes. Solver, cheat, and answers all describe the same thing here: a tool that finds valid words from your rack. Word Chums doesn't restrict outside tools, and its own hint system serves a similar purpose using in-game currency.
