Three different games share this name: here's which one this matches

"Word Connect" turns out to be one of the more overloaded names in mobile word games. One version is a word-grouping puzzle, sorting 16 words into hidden categories, with no letters to combine at all. Another is a timed grid game, sliding across adjacent letters on a board. This tool is built for the most widely played version: a small circle of letters you swipe in combinations to fill a themed crossword grid, the same core mechanic already shared by our Word Cookies Solver, Word Chums Solver, and Word Crush Solver.

Every result comes from the same 30,586-word dictionary used across this site, checked against your exact letters in your browser, so results appear instantly with nothing sent to a server.

A practical tip specific to this format: when you're stuck, try appending a common suffix like -S, -ED, or -ING to a shorter word you've already solved. Puzzle designers frequently build longer answers this way, so a word you've already found is often the fastest route to a longer one still hiding in the same letters.

How it works

1
Enter your letters.

Type the letters shown in your Word Connect letter circle, in any order.

2
Scan results by length.

Match results against the blank slots shown in your level's crossword grid.

3
Try suffix variations on solved words.

Adding -S, -ED, or -ING to a word you've found often reveals a second, longer answer.

Common questions

Is this the same "Word Connect" as the game where you group 16 words into categories?

No, and worth clarifying since a few unrelated games share similar names. Some apps called Word Connect (or Connect Word) give you 16 words to sort into 4 hidden category groups, closer to a logic puzzle than a letter game. This tool is built for the more common version: swiping letters from a small circle to fill in a themed crossword grid, level after level.

Is this the same as the version where you slide across a letter grid?

Also no. A few Word Connect apps are timed grid games, where you slide across adjacent letters on a board to rack up points before a clock runs out. This tool matches the crossword-style version instead, where you're given a small fixed set of letters rather than a full grid to search.

How is this different from your general Word Unscrambler?

There's no real difference beneath the surface. Word Connect's circular letter display and swipe gesture change how you interact with your letters, not what actually counts as a valid answer. Finding every valid word from a set of letters is exactly what our Word Unscrambler already does. This page just carries that same logic over under Word Connect's own name.

Why doesn't every word I find appear as an answer in my level?

Word Connect levels only use a subset of all possible valid words for their theme, and the game runs its own curated word list that may exclude some real words while occasionally accepting others as bonus finds. Most common words will match, but treat any mismatch as a level-design difference, not an error.

Does letter order matter when I type my letters?

No. Type your letters in any order. The solver checks which letters and how many of each you have, not the order you entered them in, matching how swiping from the letter circle actually works.
