One name, more than one game: here's which this tool matches

"Word Crush" isn't a single game; it's a name shared by a few unrelated apps with genuinely different mechanics. One family of Word Crush games is a word-search grid, similar in spirit to a Boggle board. This tool isn't built for that version. It's built for the more widely documented Word Crush: a small pool of letters you swipe to fill in a themed crossword grid, level after level, the same core idea as our upcoming Wordscapes Solver and already shared by our Word Cookies Solver and Word Chums Solver.

Every result comes from the same 30,586-word dictionary used across this site, checked against your exact letters in your browser, so results appear instantly with nothing sent to a server.

A practical tip specific to this format: because the answer grid is themed, not every valid word you find will fit a slot in a given level. Start with the words matching the level's stated category or theme, and treat any leftover valid words as bonus finds rather than expected answers.

How it works

1
Enter your letters.

Type the letters shown in your Word Crush letter pool, in any order.

2
Scan results by length.

Match results against the blank slots shown in your level's crossword grid.

3
Fill in the themed answers first.

Prioritize words matching the level's category before trying unrelated bonus words.

Common questions

Is this the same "Word Crush" as the word-search grid game?

Not quite, worth clarifying since more than one game shares this name. Some apps called Word Crush (or "Words Crush: Hidden Words") are word-search games, where you swipe letters already arranged in a fixed grid to find words hiding inside it. This tool is built for the other, more common version: a themed crossword-style puzzle where you swipe letters from a small circular pool to fill in answer slots, the same core mechanic as Wordscapes. If your version shows a grid full of letters to search through rather than a small pool to combine, this tool won't match your puzzle format.

How is this different from your general Word Unscrambler?

Functionally, no difference at all. Once you set aside the crossword grid Word Crush displays your answers in, what you're actually doing is finding every word hiding in a small set of letters, precisely the job our Word Unscrambler was built for. This page just points that same engine at Word Crush's specific letter-pool format.

Why doesn't every word I find appear as an answer in my level?

Word Crush levels only use a subset of all possible valid words for their theme, and the game has its own curated word list that may exclude some real words while occasionally accepting others. Most common words will match, but treat any mismatch as a level-design difference, not an error.

Does letter order matter when I type my letters?

No. Type your letters in any order. The solver checks which letters and how many of each you have, not the order you entered them in, matching how swiping from the letter pool actually works.

Is using a solver like this against the rules?

Word Crush doesn't ban outside tools, and its own in-game hints (lightning bolts, spyglasses) serve the same purpose at a coin cost. Many players use a tool like this after genuinely trying first, to get past one stuck level rather than skip it.
